Facilitating access to job employment for young people: Exchange of good practices in Hanoi between 13 participating organisations

As part of its “Education and Employment” thematic Fund, Swiss Philanthropy Foundation offers a non-financial added value by giving to the organisations supported by the Fund to meet and to share their experiences and good practices. The Foundation has organised a 4-day collective intelligence workshop in Hanoi which brought together 13 beneficiary organisations from all around the world (Africa, Asia and Latin America) which share the same mission: facilitating access to employment for underprivileged young people.

This meeting between 26 participants included brainstorming, discussions and co-development workshops around three principal challenges they had defined: social enterprise models; collaboration with the corporate sector and supporting the underprivileged young people.

Sabrina Grassi, Director of Operations; and Laurent Douek Board member of Swiss Philanthropy Foundation, were present in Hanoi and saw first-hand “the positive response to this meeting, thanks to a positive group dynamic and the goodwill of all”.

At the end of this meeting and in order to capitalise on the lessons learned, each organisation will complete a micro-project on a 12-month period and inspired by some of the ideas generated during the workshops.
