The Swiss Philanthropy Foundation offers a simple structure and a global approach thanks to its collaboration with experts in complementary fields.
Objective
To provide donors with the tools and structures to make giving simpler. Two services today: to house sheltered funds and facilitate cross-border giving in Europe.
Guiding principles
- Long-term vision: The Foundation defined its mission and objectives for the long term with a view to sustainability and stability. All those who work directly or indirectly for the Foundation are committed to this long-term vision.
- Partnership: Making a commitment for society is a complex act which involves many players: donors, financial and legal experts, advisers, project workers, beneficiaries, with a wide range of knowledge and needs. The Foundation acknowledges the limitations of its field of expertise, promotes networking with different partners and calls on the services of external partners in areas outside its field of expertise.
- Impact: Rigorous and effective use of resources guarantees the impact of donations to the satisfaction of the donor and beneficiary. Professional planning and regular follow up are necessary steps to ensure the optimal impact of a project.
- Simplicity: The structure of the Foundation is simple and light: it provides the mechanisms for checking reliability and transparency with regard to the use and management of funds with minimum administration costs.
