{"id":5679,"date":"2018-06-05T17:05:39","date_gmt":"2018-06-05T16:05:39","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.swissphilanthropy.ch\/?p=5679\/"},"modified":"2018-06-08T09:34:49","modified_gmt":"2018-06-08T08:34:49","slug":"swiss-philanthropy-foundation-a-participe-a-la-neuvieme-edition-du-gfsi-le-geneva-forum-for-sustainable-investment-qui-sest-tenue-a-geneve-le-31-mai-2018","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.swissphilanthropy.ch\/de\/2018\/06\/05\/swiss-philanthropy-foundation-a-participe-a-la-neuvieme-edition-du-gfsi-le-geneva-forum-for-sustainable-investment-qui-sest-tenue-a-geneve-le-31-mai-2018\/","title":{"rendered":"Swiss Philanthropy Foundation participated at the ninth GFSI, Geneva Forum For Sustainable Investment, held in Geneva on May 31, 2018."},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The event was the first to reveal the figures of the annual study conducted by Swiss Sustainable Finance on the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.sustainablefinance.ch\/en\/home.html\">sustainable investment market in Switzerland<\/a>, which amounted to <span style=\"color: #c84251;\">CHF 390.6 billion in 2017<\/span>, representing <span style=\"color: #c84251;\">82% increase<\/span> over the previous year.<\/p>\n<p>The issue of sustainable investing in the world of foundations was discussed at the opening roundtable with Sabrina Grassi, Director of Operations at Swiss Philanthropy Foundation and Delphine Bottge, Partner at Bottge &amp; Associ\u00e9s.<\/p>\n<p>As a founding member of Sustainable Finance Geneva and Swiss Sustainable Finance, Swiss Philanthropy Foundation has long been involved in the development of sustainable investments and is sensitive to the issue of <span style=\"color: #c84251;\">\u00ab\u00a0<em>Mission Related Investment<\/em>\u00a0\u00bb, which consists in aligning its investments with its values \u200b\u200band missions.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>While the institutional framework and the vision developed by the Foundation are in favour of sustainable investment, Sabrina Grassi states that <span style=\"color: #c84251;\">the reality of the founding foundation implies that the effective implementation is done under the impetus of the donors of the sheltered funds<\/span>.<\/p>\n<p>This was the case of a historic family fund, housed by the Foundation, which decided to place the entire portfolio on ESG criteria.
