Morocco was hit by a powerful earthquake on the night of September 8-9, 2023, the strongest ever measured in the country. The death toll now stands at over 2,900.<\/p>\n

Moved by the scale of this tragedy, Swiss Philanthropy Foundation wishes to show its solidarity with Morocco by listing the initiatives launched by our network of partners and by mobilizing its teams to propose solutions to philanthropists wishing to get involved or extend a commitment already initiated.<\/p>\n

Swiss Philanthropy Foundation supports donors in their philanthropic projects in Morocco<\/strong><\/p>\n

As a host foundation, Swiss Philanthropy Foundation can mobilize its know-how to provide a vehicle for philanthropists’ generosity in support of this crisis. It makes its services and expertise available to all donors (individuals, companies or organizations) wishing to support their philanthropic projects in Morocco. This can take the form of setting up a fund, making a donation via the general fund or via the TGE network, or setting up a circle of donors.<\/p>\n

Funds set up by our partners in the Transational Giving Europe network<\/strong><\/p>\n

Our partners in the Transational Giving Europe (TGE)<\/a> network have set up a rapid aid fund to facilitate European donations to deploy essential actions to help the victims: shelter and psychological support with local partners. Secondly, they will intervene in the worst-affected areas, notably in isolated territories where help is harder to come by and where people are left to fend for themselves. Finally, they will carry out sustainable reconstruction actions: rehabilitation of collective buildings, economic recovery, etc.<\/p>\n

Swiss Solidarity, a Swiss donor active in humanitarian aid for over 70 years<\/strong><\/p>\n

Swiss Solidarity<\/a>, a reliable fund-raising and redistribution organization in Switzerland, has launched an appeal for solidarity<\/a> in response to the humanitarian crisis in Morocco.
