For three days, 30 participants &#8211; foundation managers, professionals from the financial and legal sectors and philanthropists &#8211; brought our training to life, enriching our exchanges and reflections.<\/p>\n<p>Together, we explored the philanthropic sector in a holistic manner, providing the theoretical and practical tools needed to be active in this field. In addition, we addressed some of the specific issues currently shaping the future of philanthropy, including:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Strategic collaboration: Through interactive role-playing, we explored how to set up concrete partnerships to explore new ways of making a social impact.<\/li>\n<li>Volunteering on foundation boards: What are the limits of this practice? In 2024, two cantonal tax authorities, Vaud and Zurich, took a stand on this issue, offering new perspectives to current thinking.<\/li>\n<li>Foundation or hosted fund: what are the differences between these models, and what are their advantages? We discussed legal issues, the expertise required and the question of confidentiality at a time when transparency is central.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Our sincere thanks go to our trainers, our inspiring witnesses and our partners: the Center for <a class=\"link\" href=\"https:\/\/ceps.unibas.ch\/en\/\" target=\"_self\" rel=\"noopener\" data-tracking-control-name=\"public_post-text\" data-tracking-will-navigate=\"\">Center for Philanthropy Studies (CEPS) &#8211; Universit\u00e4t Basel<\/a>, and the <a class=\"c-HeaderFac-link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.unige.ch\/philanthropie\/en\">Geneva Centre for Philanthropy &#8211; UNIGE<\/a>.
