Teams from the Transnational Giving Europe (TGE) and Swiss Philanthropy Foundation spoke with Marina Anselme, Secretary General of the MSC Foundation, a public utility organization member of the Transnational Giving Europe network. The opportunity to discuss the activities carried out by the organization and its development prospects. But also the advantages and opportunities represented by its membership in the TGE network, in particular the development of relations with European donors.
Launched in November 2019, the MSC Foundation implements the commitments of the MSC Group internationally, around three major axes: environmental protection, humanitarian aid and sustainable development.
It is in this international context and on the recommendation of its lawyers in Switzerland that the foundation contacted the Swiss Philanthropy Foundation to join the TGE network. Thanks to this process, the MSC Foundation can receive donations from Europe and strengthen its links with its donors abroad without creating an independent structure in each country.
In addition, the MSC Foundation benefits from the recently created TGE network online donation platform, which offers donors in Europe the opportunity to make direct donations. An innovation in cross-border philanthropy, which represents a real boost for the sector. “I believe that the TGE online donation platform is an important and complementary resource for notably issuing tax receipts in a simpler, faster, transparent and secure way for many potential donors based in Europe. »Declared Marina Anselme.

The Transnational Giving Europe (TGE) network is a network of important European foundations and associations created in 1998 which aims to facilitate the deployment of cross-border European philanthropy and promote its development. Composed today of 21 participating states, each is represented by a partner foundation and the Swiss Philanthropy Foundation is the representative for Switzerland.
The TGE allows donors residing in one of the participating countries, to make donations in favor of non-profit organizations of their choice, based in other member countries, or in Switzerland, and this in a simple, fast and professional ensuring rigorous due diligence.
