An inspiring meeting with Yojoa

The Swiss Philanthropy Foundation team had the pleasure of meeting the association Yojoa!

Since 2020, Yojoa has been supporting young talents from migrant backgrounds in their professional inclusion.

During this visit, we had the pleasure of meeting Ali Hosseini and Rustam Akakhiel, two young Afghans supported by the association. They shared with us their journeys, their challenges, and their achievements as young migrants arriving in a country whose language and social codes were new to them.
Despite the obstacles they continue to overcome tirelessly, their optimism is overwhelming: “Life is not a problem to be solved, it is an experience to be lived.” Their determination and desire to integrate deeply moved our team.

This visit was a powerful reminder of how essential initiatives like Yojoa are in supporting young people along their professional paths, while also helping companies strengthen their social commitment.

Yojoa is one of the initiatives supported by the Demimpact project of the Swiss Philanthropy Foundation.

A heartfelt thank you to Ali and Rustam for their sincere and inspiring testimony, and to the entire Yojoa team for their warm welcome!
