Annual conference on new developments and issues facing foundation boards, the “Foundation Board: What’s new?” conference organized by the Swiss Circle of Board Directors in partnership with the Foundation Board Academy was held on Wednesday February 7, 2024 in Lausanne.
The opportunity for Sabrina Grassi, Director General of the Swiss Philanthropy Foundation and President of SwissFoundations, to speak alongside Miren Bengoa, Director of Swiss Solidarity and Lea Baracchini, Tax Expert at Lombard Odier Group. The panel was moderated by Etienne Eichenberger, Managing Partner of WISE Philanthropy Advisors.
The speakers were able to discuss with the audience the cross-cutting issues encountered by the field of foundations, particularly in regulatory matters, renewal of Foundation Boards and issues of impact and transparency. These enriching interventions sparked a large number of questions and reflections from the many participants present in the room.
