Swiss Philanthropy Foundation Pleased to Become the Newest Addition to the Myriad Alliance Network

SPF is pleased to announce that it has joined the Myriad Alliance, an international network dedicated to facilitating cross-border philanthropy, in May 2026.

As a Partner of the Myriad Alliance, Swiss Philanthropy Foundation will collaborate closely with Alliance members to support philanthropists seeking to support donors and philanthropists wishing to give internationally to organisations, communities, and causes around the world. Philanthropic funders in Switzerland will be able to leverage the resources of the Myriad Alliance, while charities around the globe working with the members will now also be able to extend outreach to Swiss donors.

As international philanthropy continues to grow, cross-border giving remains complex due to differing legal, fiscal and regulatory frameworks between countries. Through its participation in the Alliance, Swiss Philanthropy Foundation strengthens its capacity to support international giving in a secure, compliant and efficient manner.

Founded in 2021, Myriad Alliance brings together philanthropic organisations across several continents to facilitate secure and compliant international giving. Through a coordinated network of local partners, the Alliance enables donors to support charitable initiatives internationally while benefiting from operational, legal and fiscal support adapted to their country of residence. Collectively, the network supports philanthropic giving across nearly 100 jurisdictions worldwide.

Swiss Philanthropy Foundation joins the existing Myriad Alliance network currently delivering cross-border giving services in eight markets. Members include:

  • King Baudouin Foundation/Myriad Europe in Brussels
  • Myriad Australia in Melbourne
  • Myriad Canada in Montréal
  • Myriad USA in New York City
  • Gift Trust of New Zealand in Wellington
  • Give2Asia in San Francisco
  • Give2Asia Foundation in Hong Kong SAR
  • Prism the Gift Fund in London
  • Temasek Trust Foundation Advisors in Singapore

In 2025, members of the Myriad Alliance collectively facilitated US$272.8 million in grants to supporting charitable programmes across 153 countries, spanning education, the arts, disaster response, health services, climate change, and more.

Director General of Swiss Philanthropy Foundation, Alexandra Bilak, says:

International giving is increasingly central to the way philanthropists seek to respond to complex global challenges. Joining the Myriad Alliance as a Partner allows Swiss Philanthropy Foundation to deepen collaboration with trusted peers worldwide, while laying the groundwork for full Membership. We see this as a strategic step toward strengthening cross-border philanthropy from Switzerland and Europe more broadly.

CEO of Myriad Alliance, Birger Stamperdahl, says:

Cross-border philanthropy continues to grow as donors look to support causes and communities wherever the need is greatest. Swiss Philanthropy Foundation’s decision to join Myriad Alliance as a Partner reflects a shared commitment to quality, transparency, and impact. Their experience and reputation in structured philanthropy make them a strong addition to the Alliance, and we look forward to working together toward full Membership.
